Item Description

Maurice de Vlaminck (1876-1958)

With Henri Matisse and André Derain, Vlaminck is credited as a progenitor of the Fauve movement in French painting during the early years of the 20th Century. The intense colors of Vase de Fleurs are quintessentially Fauve.
