Item Description
If you or someone you know have or are opening a business, Thom Brooks will survey the space and/or review architectural plans and provide fair and balanced advice on how to fit the space with audio, visual, and control systems, based on industry best practices. He will work within your budget and provide a parts list, price estimate, and drawings that can be handed to your architect/MEP/GC so they can install the infrastructure you need. He will recommend qualified A/V installation companies and provide a schematic drawing that can be used to construct the system.
If the space is in Chicagoland, he will visit the site. If it is somewhere else, he will provide consultation by Facetime/WebEx.
Thom Brooks is a certified Audio/Visual Designer with over 15 years of A/V Design experience. He earned a CTS-D credential from AVIXA, the industry trade organization for Commercial A/V.
**Due to the nature of his current occupation, he does not "moonlight" and cannot accept payment for these services; this is being provided as a donation to FTCNS.
**He is not a licensed architect or engineer in the state of Illinois. As such, he cannot stamp or seal any drawings.
**While he is able to provide advice on residential set-ups, he is not an expert on hi-fi stereos, vacuum tubes, or high-end magnetically-levitated turntables. But he will do his best to help design and outfit your A/V "cave", if that is your preference.
**Service expires one year from close of auction.
