Located in downtown Chippewa Falls, Spring Street Sports has been serving the cycling and winter sports community in the Chippewa Valley since 1987. The staff are very knowledgable and can set customers up in the best cycling and outdoor winter sport equipement, clothing and accessories for every level of sport enthusiast.
Have you wanted to learn how to cross-country (classic or skate ski techniques)? Mark Blaskey will spend an hour or more teaching you the basics of cross-country skiing at Tower Ridge Ski Area in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; the value being $50. Tower Ridge is the largest cross-country ski trail complex in west central Wisconsin. It is located on Eau Claire County forestland in the town of Seymour off CTH L. It has approximately 12 miles of trail with terrain of varying degrees of difficulty offering something for all levels of skiers. The recreation area includes a Chalet with flush toilets, additional pit toilets, approximately 3 km of lighted trails and a snowshoe trail adjacent to but separate from the lighted ski trails.
This item offers $25 towards the rental of cross country skies (classic or skate cross country skis). There are a number of cross country skiing options within a fifteen mile radius no matter your skill level including Lake Wissota State Park, Irvine Park, and Beaver Creek Reserve. During January and February, some of the parks have evening, candlelight opportunities to make it a unique and fun outing.
