Bateaux a Rouen. Boats in Rouen. Lithograph, c. 1900, printed in brown ink on Chine appliqué. 8 3/4 x 11 1/4”. Signed by the artist and his collaborator, Charles Thornley, from the edition of 25.
The celebrated Impressionist, Camille Pissarro, enjoyed making etchings and lithographs, some in collaboration with his colleague and expert lithographer, Charles Thornley. This lithograph is a lovely Impressionist scene of the river in Rouen, in Haute-Normandie, where he resided.
