Item Description
Star blocks and star quilt patterns are popular quilting designs that have been around for hundreds of years. Star quilt blocks are typically made with 6 or 8 points and are composed of squares and half square triangles, although they can also be made using quarter square triangles. Star quilts are also traditional designs within different Native American communities, but the tribe that has made the design its own is the Lakota. “The star pattern of the quilts represents the morning star, a significant symbol in Lakota beliefs and ceremonial life."
This quilt employs the Star Fusion pattern by Janna Thomas and was custom quilted by Vicki Maloney. The quilt size is 69 inches wide by 83 inches long and would be beautiful on a queen size bed or as a wall hanging.
