Item Description
You know Coach Reed loves sports. But did you know he also loves tequila?! This item will be run like a Count-Me-In at the Live Auction - only 20 lucky bidders will have the chance to join Carlos, along with current parents Jerry and Cecilia Velasco (Ayla '19, Brianna '17) for a delicious lesson in how tequila is made using examples from their private collection, some literally straight from Mexico that are made only for friends and family (luckily we're friends with the Velasco Family!).
Hosts Richard and Loralei Osborn (Oz '18) open their home for this fun, educational evening that also incudes a full taco bar from Dona Tere. You'll have everything you need to keep from getting peckish as you sip from your traditional handmade shot glasses known as cazuelas, made from local clay in Tonala, Jalisco.
Photos above show:
- Three bottles that you'll sample from as you learn how tequila is aged as it goes from Tequila Blanco to Tequila Reposado and finally, Tequila Anejo
- A plastic Coke bottle used to transport "El Campanario" directly from the barrel in Mexico that has no preservatives or chemicals, made by the master distiller/owner Salvador Casillas, a family friend of the Velascos
- Velasco Family favorites orange slices and Tajin that pair perfectly with tequila!
- Traditional clay shot glasses
