Item Description
This slit drum created by Jerry Geier is part of his series Wildlife of the World.
Jerry Geier is a local Vermont artist. He has exhibited his sculptures throughout the United States and Canada over the past thirty years. Most recently his works have been shown at the Barn Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine and Blue Heron Gallery in Wellfleet, MA. He has also worked extensively in the Burlington City Arts (Vermont) print studio, concentrating on woodprints and dry point etchings. While most of his work has been created in terra-cotta or ceramic, he has cast in bronze and brought together his ceramic sculptures and prints in his “book sculptures”. Recently he has created his ceramic and wood sculptures a slit drum.

Drum is approximately 2 feet in height and 6 inches wide.
