Item Description
Book your vacation the week of June 22nd - June 29th, 2018, at Glenmor, a private 3 bedroom home on Gleneagles Resort, Scotland. Opened in 1924, Gleneagles features Andrew Fairlie's Michelin Star restaurant and was host to the 2017 PGA Ryder's Cup. Package includes one person's daily round of golf for seven days and access to all Gleneagles facilities. Whether you are seeking top shelf golf or to wander in the Perthshire Hills you will not be disappointed. Perfect for couples or families. Only 40 min from Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports.
A note from the owner:
It’s truly a beautiful spot and a lovely house. Glenmor is a collection of houses on the Gleneagles property. We have a 3 bedroom home, each with ensuite bathrooms. There is a large fully equipped open kitchen and living room, washer/dryer, a deck off of the living room, and small mudroom with closet and drying cupboard. Bedrooms can all be configured as Kings or a combination of Kings and Twins to suit your needs. The house comes with two mountain bikes and more are available for rent. Nestled in the middle of the Glenmor homes is a small clubhouse with concierge services, a bar serving drinks, lunch and light snacks (it also has TVs and two Playstation 4s in it, as well as a deck if it’s nice out).
Included with this week is one person’s round of daily golf on any of the Gleneagles courses free of charge (as owners we can transfer the blue owner card). Tee times can be booked now and we are happy to assist with that (there is a cancellation policy in effect though). There are three main courses (Kings, Queen’s and PGA), as well as the “Wee Course”. The Wee Course is just walk on and free of charge. Kings and Queens are walking with push carts only. The only course you can use a ride on golf cart on is the PGA.
In addition, Glenmor residents have full access to all that Gleneagles has to offer: hotel restaurants (one with a few Michelin stars), spa, pool, gym, kids lounge, etc. There really is so much to do on property: off roading in Range Rovers, falconry, segway tours of the property led by a nice Scotsman in a kilt :), an equestrian center, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, etc. Great for 3 couples or a family vacation!
Sleeps 6-7. The three bedrooms have King beds that can be configured as such or as separated twins. A rollaway is available upon request.
Gleneagles is about 40 minutes from either Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports. Hotel can provide transfer or rental cars are available. We always rent a car because we have friends in the area and like to be mobile, but a car certainly is not needed on the property. There are two daily direct flights on United from Newark to Edinburgh, and of course there is always a transfer through London for anyone who wants to make it a nice long vacation.
Tesco, one of the largest grocery stores, is available for online ordering and your groceries will be waiting and put away in the fridge at the house on Friday. It’s a simple process to order and we are happy to walk anyone through it. The house gets cleaned about every other day whilst there.
