This package includes four tickets for you and your family or friends to go see the classic musical, Oliver!.  The show is playing this summer at the lovely Goodspeed Opera House where there is not a bad seat in the house.  Make a day of it in the lovely Essex-Hamden area - there are plenty of quaint towns and the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat.  Step back in time and enjoy something to drink before the show on the balcony of the Opera House while overlooking the river.  I can tell you from experience that this is a special theater with amazing productions at fair prices.   

About the show:

Charles Dickens’ beloved orphan makes his Goodspeed debut in the hope-filled musical set in the dark shadows of Victorian London. Bounced from workhouse to forced labor, Oliver Twist escapes to the streets where he meets Fagin, the Artful Dodger and a band of child pickpockets. Will he find love, home and happiness before it’s too late? Consider yourself part of the family with the colorful international smash that gave the world “Where Is Love?,” “Food! Glorious Food!” and “As Long As He Needs Me.”

About the theater:

Goodspeed’s beginnings date back to 1963 when they opened their doors as a professional musical theatre in an historic building on the banks of the Connecticut River in East Haddam. They have produced over 250 musicals, including over 70 world premieres, and exported 21 productions to Broadway.  Goodspeed stands as the first regional theatre in America to earn two special Tony Awards.  They mount both new and newly revived musicals each year on our main stage at the Opera House and on our second stage in Chester – a total of more than 400 performances during the April to December season attracting 130,000 patrons to the Connecticut River Valley.  They stand at the forefront of producing and preserving the American musical, simultaneously reinventing the classics and inventing new ones. • Four tickets for Oliver! at the Goodspeed Opera House, 6 Main Street, East Haddam, CT.
• This is an evening performance June 29 - August 24, 2018. The tickets are not valid for the last two weeks of the show (8/25/18 - 9/8/18).
• Winner will receive via email the voucher for the tickets.  Voucher needs to be submitted for the tickets at least 48 hours in advance of desired performance date, providing 1st - 3rd date choice options.  Email early for best availaiblity.
• All tickets are subject to availability and prior sale.
• Tickets must be picked up at theater the day of the performance.
• Tickets cannot be refunded, transferred, exchanged, changed, or cancelled.
• No cash refunds for tickets unused. 
• The voucher cannot be resold.
• Theater is not wheelchair accessible.  There is no elevator available for use and there are stairs inside the theater.
• Not responsible for cancellations or closings.
• Auction for this item will be finalized on May 6, 2018 with online bids, absentee bids, and silent bids.
