Five lucky bidders will join landscape designer and Drew 1st Lady, Florencia Frankenberg for a day of floral fun as she takes you on a tour of the Arthur L. Menzies Garden of California Native Plants in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens, followed by lunch at Hook Fish Co. and a trip to Sloat Gardens.
Florencia has an eye for clean, minimal outdoor spaces and specializes in taking a holistic approach to design, working with native plants to integrate the look and feel of each home into the landscape around it. She's been designing for the last 8 years and has created gardens in Buenos Aires, Boston, Pasadena, and the Hollywood Hills (those are her designs in the photos above!), after studying Landscape Design in Buenos Aires at Escuela Argentina de Espacios Verdes.
Your day with Florencia will start at the Botanical Gardens where you'll gather for a stroll through one of San Francisco's most treasured and beautiful spaces. You'll wend your way to the four-acre Garden of California Native Plants where Florencia will help guide you to find inspiration from plants and flowers that will be sustainable in our climate and make your garden pop. The Garden features arroyos, ponds and woodlands, and at its center, a wildflower meadow.
Natural Habitat Garden magazine author Ken Druse wrote of the Arthur L. Menzies Garden, "Beyond a collection, it is perhaps the most beautifully planned and maintained public garden in the country dedicated to habitat-style planting."
Bring photos of any spaces you need help with, along with the Pinterest board of your dreams, and over lunch at Hook Fish Co., Florencia will give you some tricks of the trade to get you well on your way to a dreamy Nor Cal garden worthy of a Sunset Magazine center spread.
Finally, on your visit to Sloat Gardens, Florencia will guide you to the plants, pots, palms and succulents you should consider for your home.
