Jewelry Artist Dawn Jenkins,  20" Long Coral, Sandalwood, Bone, Ceramic, Sterling Silver Clasp

Dawn Louise Jenkins was born in Eau Claire Wisconsin. In 1995 she graduated from University Superior Wisconsin with a BFA in Broadfield Photography. She then completed her Art credentials to teach Art in 1996 from University River Falls Wisconsin. Dawn started teaching Art part-time then developed her art program to full-time. After teaching for seven years, she went to the University Eau Claire Wisconsin and earned her M.E.P.D. Masters in Art Education Professional Development while teaching full-time. Dawn taught Black and White Photography, Painting, Drawing, Jewelry Design, Fibers, Ceramics and Art History.


Dawn moved to the Big Island in 2007 and in November started to teach Elementary Art in Naalehu, HI. She has been in some juried art shows and has had her own exhibitions. Eventually she started making jewelry here in Hawaii. She enjoys using beach glass and found shells in her work. She also uses sterling silver and semi-precious stones.
