Item Description
At Bolton Valley, we consider ourselves lucky to reside in such a great slopeside neighborhood. And at the center of each neighborhood, there's always one house that all the neighborhood kids love hanging out at. Bolton Valley is that house. Whether you're a local that's meeting up with friends for first chair or you've joined our community from afar, you'll find that same "I want to be at THAT house" feeling in our base area. Our backyard is a 5,000 acre playground buried in 300 inches of annual snowfall with a powerful snowmaking system to lend a hand when Mother Nature needs a breather. Enjoy acres of alpine and nordic trails, unmatched backcountry terrain, old-growth glades, and three terrain parks at truly affordable prices. Adult lift tickets are priced as low as $59! Check out our ski and stay packages for special deals on family ski vacations.
More to Explore: A 5,000-acre Backyard Playground
Located midway between Burlington and Montpelier Vermont, Bolton Valley is set amidst 5,000 acres of Vermont's most spectacular Green Mountain vistas. We have the highest base elevation of any Vermont ski resort, which means we get more snow, more often. In addition to skiing and riding from our 3,150-foot summit, Bolton Valley offers unparalleled backcountry and Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on 100 kilometers of trails. Bolton Valley Ski Resort is the perfect vacation location for the entire family.
Vermont's Most Extensive Night Skiing/Riding
Most backyard activities stop once the sun goes down. At Bolton Valley, we keep the lights on and offer up more night skiing/riding than any other Vermont ski area. We light up for night skiing and riding on 10 trails, served by four lifts every Tuesday through Saturday night until 10pm. Kick things up a notch by joining a weekly corporate race league or test your freestyle moves in our Wednesday Night Riders competition. Or check out our weekly up and down skimo races - the newest olympic sport - on Wednesday nights, hosted by Vermont's Catamount Trail Association.
