Item Description
Ernie has been painting professionally since 2001, studying, exploring and enjoying figurative and landscape painting. He received his art education at Fresno City College, College of the Sequoias and with Lee Collie Wight at Nelson Shank’s Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA. A regular exhibitor in California, Ernie has won numerous awards including First Place in oils at the Sorenson Gallery in Fresno, Best of Show in the Porterville Open and Best of Show in the Visalia Art League show. He is drawn to the landscapes of the San Joaquin Valley, to the foothills and the Sierra, to the lush farmlands,oaks and riverbeds. This painting, Purple Oak, is an oil on canvas, 12"x24" and was done near Hanford.
