Item Description
Ready for a wondrous celestial journey?
This extraordinary book puts you right there in the middle of our solar system: breaking through colorful gaseous hazes; exploring the surface of red-hot or ice-cold planets; hurtling through rings of flying, frozen ice chunks; and rocketing on out to deep space. Astronomer David Aguilar is our navigator on these seven wonderful trips through space—journeys that someday may actually happen!
Item includes signed copy of the book as well as a signed original space art print from the book. Print measures 13" x 10".
About the Author/Artist:
David’s art represents a rare combination of fine art, modeling, digital art expertise and his own wonderment of science. His work has been commissioned and featured in National Geographic, NASA and nasa.gov’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, Smithsonian Magazine and the Smithsonian Channel, Harvard Magazine, Harvard CfA, the History Channel, PBS programming, Astronomy magazine and regularly at space.com. He has illustrated all 7 of his books for National Geographic, and 3 books for Penguin Random House/Smithsonian Books.
He has been featured alongside his “Alien Worlds” space art on the History Channel series “The Universe”; the BBC World Service; Weather Channel’s Space features, and PBS.
