Westchester Dance Artists (“WDA”) is a 501(c)3 organization, offering an amazing and creative summer program for children ages kindergarten through 8th grade.  The program by the week with a 1 week minimum.

We design a 100% customizable schedule for every participant. During each day we offer classes in singing, dance, fine arts, acting, improv, crafts, outdoor sports and so much more. We truly offer what is one of the best arts programs in Westchester County and New York State, at a price that is affordable. 

Our space is light, bright, and air-conditioned. We have 4 professional studios, two bathrooms, and additional space for smal groups or individual learning. We insist on a non-competitive atmosphere and a culture of kindness, so that every child can shine while learning the arts, self-esteem and life lessons. Our ratio is one staffer for every 4 participants.

Debralyn Press (artistic director and founder of our program) is also a social worker and dance therapist specializing in groups and early childhood through adolescent development. Here your child will find a tremendously supportive creative community.

Hours: 9am - 3pm $200 weekly/8am - 6pm $350 (Tuition will increase May 1)

Typical Day at Westchester Dance Artist Summer Program

 9:00 - 9:15  drop off 

 9:15 - 10:00  morning gathering

10:00 - 10:45   warm up, creative play, art activity, class

10:45 - 11:00 Snack (must come from home - NO NUTS PLEASE)

11:00 - 12:00  Class

12:00 - 12:45    lunch  (must come from home - NO NUTS PLEASE)

i12:45 - 1:45  Class 

1:45 - 2:45  rehearsal

2:45 - 3:00  pick up

Extended hours:

8:00 - 9:00 art, warm up, small class

3:00 - 6:00 class, art, outdoor play, snack (from home/NO NUTS PLEASE)

FRIDAY SHOW: 

Each Friday at 3:00 pm there will be a showcase for family and friends to attend. The show will be a variety of dance numbers, musical numbers, rehearsed skits and scenes. There will also be an art exhibit. PARTICIPATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
