Item Description
This Diablo twist pen is truly special with top of the line hardware and craftsmanship! The exquisite hardware in both black titanium and chrome has beautiful delicate detailing. The body is made of burl maple that has been stabilized and dyed purple. It has been polished to a high lustre and looks almost like glass or polished marble but, because it is wood, retains depth and warmth in tone. The profile of the pen makes it not only elegant but also very comfortable to use. The pen measures approximately 5 inches in length and takes Parker style refills. This pen ticks all the boxes for that sophisticated lady with discerning taste: quality, elegant style and beautiful delicate detailing. It comes in a black velvet box.
John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
