Item Description

This unique Professor pen combines both modern and rustic elements. Its form is relatively simple, without much ornamentation, but is made unique by the cross-hatched detailing at both ends. The rustic antique silver finish of the hardware is juxtaposed with the modern Pendragon acrylic body. The background consists of variegated shades of grey that shimmer and shift in the light like an opal. Within this reflective base are contrasting swirling lines of black and red with bright pops of red here and there. It's quite spectacular and not fully captured in the picture. It measures just under 5 inches, takes Parker style refills and comes in a velveteen drawstring pouch. This is the perfect pen for the serious 'professor type' who likes to jazz it up a little!

John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
