Item Description

This Gentry twist pen has an elegant slim profile and attractive detailing on the antique brass hardware. The body is in cocobolo wood that has a rich medium tone and beautiful figure. It was hand-crafted on the lathe and polished to a high lustre with multiple coats of cyanoacrylate.  It measures 5.25 inches, takes Cross style refills and comes in a velvet drawstring pouch. This special pen combines the best of both worlds: the natural beauty of the wood with the sophistication of the detailed hardware.

John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
