Item Description
This Sierra twist pen is truly special! It has high quality 24kt gold plated hardware that has exquisite and sophisticated detailing. The aptly named Middle Earth acrylic body is beyond beautiful with its swirls of iridescent turquoise, indigo/purple and molten earth colors...the pictures don't do it justice! It is perfectly offset by the black portions of the pen hardware. The profile of the pen makes it not only elegant but also very comfortable to use. It was hand-crafted and polished to a high lustre on the lathe. The pen measures approximately 5.5 inches in length and takes Parker style refills. This pen ticks all the boxes for that sophisticated lady with discerning taste: quality, attention to detail and elegant style with a modern interpretation. It comes in a black velvet box.
John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
