Item Description

This rustic and unadorned twist pen is aptly called the Professor Pen. The hardware is in antique brass and the body is made of the striking Wenge wood which has a dark rich color and sharp striations or figure. It was hand-crafted on a lathe and then polished to a high lustre with multiple thin coats of cyanoacrylate. The pen measures 12 cm or just under 5 inches in length and takes Parker style refills. It comes in a drawstring velvet pouch. Why not treat that special person in your life who is all about substance and appreciates the beauty of the natural world?

John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
