Item Description

DON'T HUNT, SAVE ELEPHANTS! This pen is pure pink perfection! It is the Slimline model, a twist pen very comfortable for daily use, in chrome hardware. The body is made of pink laminated birch that is repurposed gunstock. We snatched it up at our local wood supplier where it had sat untouched. There was something symbolic and deeply satisfying in using wood destined for a rifle to kill animals to instead make pens to raise money to help rescue abused elephants. It measures 5 inches and takes Cross style refills. Why not spoil yourself or an equally committed animal advocate with this pen sure to hold special meaning for years to come?

John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
