Item Description

West County Glass is a flameworking studio dedicated to facilitating our craft through live demonstration, instruction, and access to studio space and equipment. Currently home to 12 independent local glass artists, we strive to maintain an open, collaborative and supportive environment that enables glassblowers - experts and novices alike - to thrive.

We offer one-on-one private lessons in introductory flameworking, which is small-scale glassblowing using a torch.  Students will become familiar with the materials and equipment commonly used. Following a series of demonstrations students work under supervision to create a small solid glass object such as a pendant or a marble.

The lesson lasts 2 hours, after which participants have the option to use the work bench to practice for the remainder of day at no additional cost.
