This get away offers a perfect setting to snuggle up with family and dear friends in front of the large stone fireplace; play board games; linger after a yummy meal to engage in real conversation; and laugh the way you do with people you love but seldom do for whatever reason. Go for a walk on the wooded trails, kayak and swim out the back door.
Simple pleasures. Simply lovely.
The Space
The five bedrooms are spaced widely for privacy, with three on the second floor, one on the main level, and one on the ground floor. For your convenience, a bathroom is located on each floor with a sauna in the ground floor bathroom.
There are two well-equipped kitchens, with large refrigerators and extensive shelf storage, suitable for preparing a humble breakfast or a feast for a dozen guests.
The centerpiece of the great room on the main floor is a large stream-stone fireplace, surrounded by a large sectional sofa. A few steps takes you to the sun room, running the entire length of the house and looking out over Silver Lake.
Out the back door, you will find a seating area with a fire pit, overlooking the slope down to the lakeside. The lake itself provides boating and swimming in summer, and skating in winter. An extensive network of trails can be hiked, biked or run year-round, although skis or snowshoes might be necessary in the snowy months.

Full access. Wifi. Both TV 's have internet-enabled options for Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.
This quintesential New England town is a 3 hour drive from Boston -- near hiking, fishing, and just a few miles down the road from award-winning dining, spas, and shopping in Woodstock!
