Item Description

Bid now on this Magnum (1.5L)of 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon that comes packaged in a wooden box from Trefethen Family Winery.  Just in time for summer BBQs!

The Trefethens have been growing grapes in the Napa Valley since the 1960's. Their wines highlight balance: richness with elegance, concentration with finesse, complexity with harmony, and sophistication with approachability. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are planted in the northwestern quadrant of their estate vineyard, in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, in gravelly soils that warm quickly in the spring. This warmer site, combined with limited yields, produces Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with bright, complex flavors, resulting in wine with deep ruby color and heady aromas of plums, blackberries, and forest-floor spice.

95 POINTS
“Top producer, long history of classic wine, definer of regional characteristics, signature variety—put them all together and it equals a high score. Certainly not always, but in this case the answer is an unqualified yes. This is a classic Napa Valley wine, showing once again Trefethen’s mastery with Cabernet.” Rich Cook, Wine Review Online January 2016
