Item Description
Five 750 ml bottles of vintage port from legendary producers in excellent years. You and your friends can enjoy a special and tasty treat after a fine meal! The collection includes:
Graham's 1991
- the first Vintage to be declared since 1985 produced a very small, high quality harvest. "Lovely plum and coffee aromas open to a full-bodied palate, with sweet, decadent fruit. Velvety, with a long finish. Lots going on." - James Suckling
Warre's 1991
- An incredibly vibrant bottle from a stunning vintage; off-dry with hints of cherry, chocolate, and coffee. Hefty tannins are just beginning to recede.
Taylor Fladgate 1992
- This monumental 30-50 year port is a must purchase for port aficionados! When tasting it on release, Robert Parker said it was, "unquestionably the greatest young port I have ever tasted." Also noteworthy is the fact that the 1992 Taylor commemorates the 300th anniversary of this firm, as evidenced by the special bottle Taylor used for this port.
Fonseca 1992
- From the Wine Advocate: "The 1992 is a majestic port that should ultimately rival, perhaps even surpass, this house's most recent great efforts (1985, 1977, 1970, 1963). This colossal vintage port reveals a nearly opaque black/purple color, and an explosive nose of jammy black fruits, licorice, chocolate, and spices."
Fonseca 2000
- Dense ruby/purple-colored, with an exotic, exuberant perfume of black fruits, flowers, incense, and licorice, this unctuously-textured, full-bodied port is one of the most concentrated of the vintage.
