Item Description
For many of us, making a good loaf of sourdough bread feels like striving for the World Cup or an Olympic gold medal. It's the challenge to top all challenges and takes real commitment, but it's also something that's completely achievable.
Are you ready to take on the challenge of a true sourdough bread? If so — or even if you're just curious to see what the fuss is about — then this is the lot for you!
The class will be taught by GUG parent, Annie Cheney, in her Jackson Heights kitchen.
In this 2 hour class, you will learn the fundamentals of sourdough bread baking, including, how to make and maintain a sourdough starter, how to form artisan style loaves and rolls and how to incorporate different kinds of flour, dried fruits and nuts.
Participants will take home sourdough starter and fresh bread.
