Item Description

CALLING ALL ELLIE LOVERS! This is truly a one-of-a-kind pen. It is the Carbara Pen with a modern and sleek profile that is very comfortable to use. The body is made of Canadian maple and was turned on the lathe by John. Sylvie then stained it with a gorgeous TEAL custom-mixed aniline dye that is between peacock and emerald green. Then she carved 3 mini-ellies in the body of the pen and 3 decorative 'stripes' to offset them. The pen was then finished to a high gloss with multiple thin coats of cyanoacrylate adhesive. It measures just under 5 inches and takes Parker style ink or gel refills. It comes in a velvet pen box.

So why not splurge and buy the perfect pen for that ellie-mad friend...or you could just spoil yourself for once! And every time you look at that mini-ellie you'll be reminded that you've helped abused elephants get a chance at a better life at Wildlife SOS!

John Baker started making pens on the lathe in 2017 to help him recover from a bone marrow transplant. Doing so in support of WSOS provides him with inspiration, motivation on the tough days and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment, of 'giving back' in some small way. This is the second auction he's contributing to and he hopes to continue for many years.
