Item Description
22"x27" unframed Giclée copy of Drew Kopf's most recent Sedrah Painting, Noah, based on the Sedrah of Noah or Parshas Noach, and a printed copy of a 52 page Biblical commentary on the Parsha of Noah also by Drew Kopf.
Drew Kopf's Sedrah Paintings are hand painted watercolors created by Drew Kopf, a member of BJ, in which he endeavors to capture the essence of a particular Parsha or Sedrah (portion of the Five Books of Moses read in an annual cycle each Sabbath morning) and the essence of the companion Haftara, which is a segment of one of the books of the Writings or the Prophets that accompanies each Sedrah or Parsha and echos the message of that Sedrah or Parsha. Drew Kopf has been creating his Sedrah Paintings since the year 2000 and, to date, has completed fifteen of them. His more recent paintings have been digitally scanned with high density equipment enabling the creation of what are known as giclée (the French word for spray) copies, which involves the use of archival inks sprayed on to a substrate similar that of the original art work.
It must be noted that Drew Kopf retains the copyright to his paintings and his Biblical commentaries, so the winning bidder would still be restricted by the laws of copyright with regard to the painting and the written commentary.
