Keenan Winery brings you three bottles of sumptuous red wines, packaged in a beautiful custom wood box, for your enjoyment. Robert Parker rates the 2014 Keenan Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 95 pts. "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Spring Mountain (97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, all sourced from their high-elevation vineyards on Spring Mountain) is the deepest, richest wine of the entire portfolio, with an opaque purple color and a super-pure nose of crème de cassis and blueberries. The wine is rich, full-bodied, nicely textured, and very long in the finish, with ripe tannins. It can be drunk now or cellared for another 15 or more years."
Another great rating follows for the bottle of 2014 Keenan Mernet Reserve. Rated 93 pts. by Robert Parker, and described as such: "Another Reserve cuvée, the equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is the 2014 Mernet Reserve. Deep opaque ruby/purple, with sweet crème de cassis and black cherry notes, some underbrush and forest floor, medium to full body, and outstanding purity and texture, it is not a big wine, but elegant, intense and authoritative. Drink it over the next 10-15 years."
The last bottle in this group, the 2014 Keenan Merlot Reserve, is rated 92 pts. by Antonio Galloni of Vinous and 88 pts. by Robert Parker. The 2014 Merlot has been aged in thirty-three percent new French and American oak barrels for eighteen months. The resulting wine shows intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and cassis. Complex nuances of cocoa and coffee bean emerge as the wine opens up. This is a big Merlot that will age for many years to come.
