Established in 1948, Cassell's Hamburgers now resides in Los Angeles’s historic Hotel Normandie. Operating hours are from 7am-11pm daily and 7am-2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Breakfast is served from 7am-11am every day and the rest of the menu becomes available at 11am.  

We've added to the original hamburger stand with a classic 50s breakfast menu, coffee bar, house made sodas, and a fully stocked bar.  

The soul of the restaurant stays true to founder Al Cassell's original principles of being a hamburger shop with a focus on premium beef, ground daily in house. All of our burgers are still cooked on Al Cassell's famous original crossfire broiler, ground with the original grinder, and pattied with the original press.

Getting a haircut at the Barber Shop Club is like being in a time-warp. It feels familiar: the chairs are red and black leather, the hydraulics operated by hand. The smell is Bay Rum. The talk is relaxed, the subject often The Biz -- music or movies. A place to talk, to laugh, to have a cup of coffee or play a game of dominoes, the Barber Shop Club is loyal to the tradition of barbershop-as-social club...but with a twist.

The Barbershop Club may be the finest traditional barbershop in Los Angeles, but its authenticity nor its colorful atmosphere would be possible if it weren't for its Kansas City roots.

Items and/or certificates must be picked up at The Waverly School Elementary Campus business office, 67 W Bellevue Drive, Pasadena CA 91105, from May 7 to June 6, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Shipping can be requested by the winner at an additional cost. The Waverly School and/or donors are not responsible for shipping fees.
