Anna loved pink, rainbows, bunnies, and princesses, which gave us a pretty clear direction for this show stopper. Like the 50's cruisers that inspired the design, this bicycle exudes style and grace. A base-coat consisting of five tones of pink is faded into a seamless gradient. Metal flake chrome accents, just like the fender's on your grandpa's old cruiser, complete the retro look. This bicycle fits lockstep with California's world-renowned car culture, and will be piloted by Rally's own West Coast king, Evan Huffman.
At the 2018 Amgen Tour of California, the Rally Cycling team will ride six custom-designed, hand-painted Diamondback Podium bikes, each inspired by a child who has received a grant from the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF).
The art for each of the six one-of-a-kind pro-cycling bikes was inspired by the imagination of a UHCCF grant recipient who shared with the Rally Cycling design team some of their favorite things and future aspirations. Those special stories about everything from gladiators to hip hop music were used to create a theme and custom name for each bike in honor of each child.
