DeVries has created a special edition for CMA. Based on the concept of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beloved Community,” deVries has been working on a project that encourages recognition and empathy for poverty, hunger and homelessness. By collecting handwritten transcriptions of the word “beloved,” deVries hopes to replace racism and discrimination with an all-inclusive spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood. The Beloved for CMA’s edition was written by Erika's son Zane. This work is an edition of ten - please contact CMA if you are interested in purchasing another edition of the work.
