Item Description

Rosie’s has been serving up home style meals to the Middlebury community for over thirty years and its site has been creating memories for many years before that. Rosie’s location on Rt. 7 south was home to Palmer’s Dairy Bar in the 1950’s before it became Rosie’s Restaurant in 1978. Some may still remember the original slogan that hung from its sign, “Good Food, Plenty of it, and it don’t take all day to get it.”

While some things about Rosie’s have changed over the years, much of its menu, décor and even its faces have not. General Manager Ron Sunderland has been working hard at Rosie’s since 1971, and Dining Room Manager June Denis started working at Rosie’s when she was only nineteen. You will still find her smiling face when you come through the doors thirty-two years later. Owner Kevin Cummings celebrated his twenty-third year of ownership this year and valued dish washer Steve Welch has been behind the scenes for twenty-three years as well. Many other staff members have been committed to Rosie’s and its customers for many years and it’s this level of loyalty and dedication that makes Rosie’s the comfortably familiar dining experience it is today.

Rosie’s Restaurant is proud to carry on a tradition of serving quality food, at a competitive price, and we work hard to maintain our local Vermont charm in an increasingly competitive economy.
