At Little River, our rugs are fairly-traded on the front end, but we also work with non-profit organizations in carpet-weaving communities worldwide. They are funded by rug sales, both wholesale and retail, and benefit our refugee weavers, their families and their communities. {We partner with many refugee weavers: Afghans, now located in the Lahore area of Pakistan, and Tibetans now in Nepal.}
From building schools and medical facilities, to supplying textbooks and clean water systems, they also support economic development and women empowerment, among many other missions.
Each time you look at your rug, you'll know you made a difference.
On behalf of our weavers, and from Little River, we thank you!

Little River Oriental Rugs is proud to support Sustainable Style through our selection of rugs that use hand-carded and hand-spun native wools, that are dyed with native vegetal matter, and are river washed and sun dried.
Wool is rapidly renewable and biodegradable, and our 100% wool yarns product a high-quality and eco-friendly area rug. Our use of plant-based dyes, also renewable, is a testament to the most traditional method of coloring fiber.
No matter what color rug you select at Little River, it will be "green".
