-Puerto Rican Former MLB all-star
-Holds all time MLB home run and RBI records among Puerto Rican players with 473 HR and 1,512 RBI’s
-Only 1 of 6 players in MLB to hit 3o home runs in 10 consecutive seasons
-Started his MLB career playing 12 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, winning the Hank Aaron Award as the player of the year in 2000 and the Silver Slugger Award in 1999, 2000, 2003.
-He played one season with the Florida Marlins in 2005 and moved on to the New York Mets in 2006 and remained there until 2010 in which he retired.
-While at the Mets, Delgado was known as one of most dangerous players at the plate in the entire league breaking RBI records for both Puerto Rican players and the Mets in a single game.
