Item Description
Title & Artist: “The Painted Gadus Morhua” - by Pamela McCabe Haley
Medium & Size: Acrylic and watercolor paint on wood; 19" x 8"
Artist Statement: My inspiration for this particular piece came from the beautiful and captivating range of color one finds in nature, particularly how water reflects light and color. I have tried to create an impressionistic painting conveying how light, combined with movement, gives the cod that fluid shimmer through the water.
Artist Biography: I am a resident of Marblehead and received a B.A. in Studio Art from Kenyon College. An independent artist, I am primarily a jewelry designer but also work in other media, such as painting and knitting. I absolutely love the use of colors, whether it is through paint, gemstones, or fibers, and I am inspired by organic shapes found in nature.
Value: $250
Hosting Business: “The Painted Gadus Morhua” is on display at Warwick Place, 123 Pleasant St., Marblehead, MA.
