Item Description
Title & Artist: “Old Towne” - by Roy Brindamour
Medium & Size: Pen & ink, acrylic; 19" x 8"
Artist Statement: I wish to convey a sense of history and the seafaring way of life that built this good old town.
Artist Biography: I studied art in Boston which led to a career in Visual Merchandising at the Jordan Marsh Co., Boston. During this time, and on a chance visit to a friend in Marblehead, there was a decision made that this would be home. Evenings and weekends were used as an escape from the structured job environment in Boston. It wasn't long before antique collecting led to antique restoration. While working at the Arnould Gallery, surrounded by such wonderful art, I decided it was time to create my own niche in the art world. Soon Marblehead Made was born. Inspired by 18th and 19th century antiques a collection of paintings, papier mache dolls, Father Christmas and other works of art were born.
Value: $900
Hosting Business: “Old Towne” is on display at Christine D’Anjou Antiques, 155 Washington St., Marblehead, MA.
