A noted photographer, Doug’s work has been shown at venues nationally and worldwide, and is in the permanent collections of SFMOMA, the Oakland Museum of California, the Bibliotheque National (Paris), Canadian Centre for Architecture (Montreal), Light Works (Syracuse, NY) and other institutions.
Doug was recipient of the Eugene Atget Award (Paris) and other prestigious awards.
In addition to his creative work he was also firmly rooted in the world's practical work as a skilled steamfitter, having participated on numerous industrial projects as well as maintaining the infrastructure at UC Berkeley.
