Item Description
The 11 O'Clock Toast predates the Elks themselves. The event that inspired the toast--the death of one of the Jolly Corks--set the course for the formation of the Elks.
Fittingly, Grand Exalted Ruler Malcolm J. McPherson, Jr., will use this unique gavel to open the closing session in San Antonio, which will feature the solemn Memorial Service. It's made from maple that has been heat-treated, which causes a “Smokey” or “Toasted” appearance. The cork at the end of the handle conceals the “Silver Chime of Father Time.”
After the closing ceremony, we will ship the gavel to the winning bidder, along with a certificate of authenticity signed by GER McPherson and Grand Secretary Bryan Klatt.
