Item Description
Explore Innovation Science and Practice with Vladimir Bulovic, Professor of Emerging Technologies at MIT. Tour MIT's cauldron of innovation and learn about cutting-edge technologies and the processes, people, and infrastructure that enable them. Up to six people can participate in this two-hour tour, which can be customized to best suit the ages and interests of your group (recommended for adults and/or students in middle or high school).
Professor Bulovic recently served as MIT’s first Associate Dean of Innovation. Over the last decade, he has helped pioneer MIT’s campus-wide education programs in Energy Studies and in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. His research has generated over 100 patents and spawned companies that employ hundreds of people and build technologies that benefit millions. His published work has been cited over 40,000 times, and his teaching has been recognized with the MacVicar fellowship, MIT’s highest teaching honor. Professor Bulovic also leads MIT’s Organic and Nanostructured Electronics laboratory, co-directs the Solar Frontiers Center, and is the Founding Director of “MIT.nano,” MIT's new 200,000 sq. ft. nano-fabrication, nano-characterization, and prototyping facility that will open later this summer.
