Item Description

If you’ve been at DPCA’s National Banquets, you know about the Fuglies, right? We think "Miss Thing" here qualifies – as a Fugley!! We all know a well-done caricature is often more endearing than the life like version - this is such a case! A caricature of a very Darling Doberman Lady with a look on her face that says… "Please, oh please... just one more treat?" The sad, pathetic, darling look is perfectly captured here as Miss Thing looks through that furrowed brow with eyes that beg the question... What's a Doberman for if not to spoil beyond rotten? "Hey, I'm not spoiled... I always smell like this .” Too cute and darling too!!! This really charming caricature is a Grant Palmer creation from the studios of "Country Artists"™ and Willitts Designs, sculptures ©2002 Country Artists Ltd. and issued from the "A Breed Apart" collection. This sculpture is done in the rough style seen on many bronzes and just adds to the satirical whimsy of this piece! The artist Palmer works his magic in clay from the Country Artists Studio in scenic Stratford-upon-Avon.

Grant's work is cast in resin and the statuette measures approximately 9 1/4" tall, 9" long and is 5 1/4" wide... heavy for her size for the added stability and protection from the "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" crowd of the live version :).

This vintage Breed Apart icon is donated to DPCA Rescue endeavors by SND’s own Case Coordinator, Irene Jansen. Irene is also donating the cost of shipping so bid HIGH and often and pretend you would have had to pay shipping!
