Item Description
The Stonington Historical Society's "Landmarks of Stonington" Silk Scarf is in glorious shades of blue, white and gold and portrays some of the most historic properties in Stonington. These include the Captain Nathaniel B. Palmer House, the Old Lighthouse Museum, and the Ocean Bank.
A mother and daughter team have worked together since 1990 creating custom scarves for museums, schools, nonprofit organizations, corporations and retail stores. All designs are hand drawn and painted by the artists. The finished artwork is sent to the mill where it is screened onto the silk. No computer generated images are used to create their distinctive designs. This gives their artwork a wealth of depth and dimension that can only be achieved by hand.
