Brian's “Clear Creativity" Workshop offers new information and clarity about being in the Creative “Zone” and also how to stay in the “Zone”. It offers the basics of where creativity comes from and, for those who have spent a lifetime creating, it offers new ways of looking at this precious commodity of creation. New research on focus and the creative process will be shared. There will be an experiential session as well as a group discussion where participants will be able to offer their insights from their years of experience. This will be a valuable sharing of the creative process.
Guidelines for the Workshop: 2 hours
- Introduction, and Poem
- My story of Creativity with Pottery, writing and poetry
- Discussion of Creativity, creative tension, focus, declaration
- Experiential session, choosing an object in nature
- Group discussion/sharing of individual creative prompts
- Creativity commitment
- Closing, Haiku or poem
Brian Martens was a Pond Farm student in the 1970s. Brian studied “The Four Fold Way” with Cross-cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien Ph.D for 7 years, received a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Sonoma State University (SSU) in 2009, and received an MA in Organization Development from SSU in 2011. His passion is writing and poetry.
This workshop is great for small groups, non-profits, for-profits, business groups, work groups, artists, and anyone wanting to get in touch with their creative side.
