Item Description
Bridge Over the North Branch by Ann Lofquist. Oil on panel. 7" x 16"; unframed. Realist painter Ann Lofquist received her M.F.A. degree from Indiana University in 1990. After graduation, she moved to Brunswick, Maine, where she was a professor of art at Bowdoin College from 1990 to 2001.
Lofquist has received many fellowships and awards, and was included in The Artist and the American Landscape (1998) by John Driscoll. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in New York and New England, and has shown at Hackett-Freedman, San Francisco; Spanierman Gallery, NY; and Gross/McLeaf Gallery, Philadelphia. Her work is on display at the Arnot Art Museum, NY; Bowdoin College Museum of Art, ME; Bates College Museum of Art, ME; and Long Beach Museum of Art, CA. Value $2,600. - Patrick & Vanessa Bienvenue
