Item Description

The Farmington area of the Laurel Highlands is steeped in history, fun, good food and the largest cave in Pennsylvania and one of the most unusual miniature golf experiences . . . ever.  And just a short distance from the caverns, marks one of the most important times in America's history.

Enjoy a Family Adventure of fun and history in the area with:

  • Laurel Caverns - Four (4) Passes for Kavernputt. Laurel Caverns is a large natural cave located 50 miles south of Pittsburgh. Kavernputt was built to create a cave experience for those who cannot physically use the natural cave and is offered to all as a 7,000 square foot 18-hole miniature golf course where each hole conveys some unique aspect of caves. This course is wheelchair accessible. (Passes may be used any day that the Cavern is open. Passes not applicable to cash or other admission.  No expiration date noted on passes).
  • Fort Necessity merchandise to commemorate your visit to this National Battlefield. Located just a short jaunt from Laurel Caverns and making for full day of family fun, visit Fort Necessity National Battlefield. This is the site of young George Washington's first military engagement and the battle that marks the beginning of the French and Indian War. The Battle at Fort Necessity was also Washington's only surrender. The French and Indian War would lead to the first global war and set the stage for the American Revolution. Merchandise includes a Fort tee-shirt, size L; the "Story of Fort Necessity"; and a passport to the national parks.

For more information on the Caverns or Kavernputt, visit the Laurel Caverns website. And for more information on the national battlefield nearby, visit the Fort Necessity webiste.

See the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau website for other things to see, do and place to eat while in the Farmington area or on your way to this family adventure.
