Patricia Stark Feinstein is a painter, teacher, writer and curator who has worked in New York and on Cape Cod. Her paintings have been exhibited at the Cork Gallery and Atlantic Gallery in NYC, and at the Provincetown Art Association, CCMoA, Harvest Gallery in Dennis, among other venues. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with dual degrees in studio art and art history, Pat studied extensively with Sam Feinstein whose classes continued the Hans Hofmann modernist philosophy of art. Calling herself a "second-generation" Hofmann student, Pat eventually taught painting workshops in Michigan and in Toronto working beside her husband, Sam. She has curated and lectured on the art of Sam Feinstein and is author of the monograph about his work. For 22 years Pat taught painting, drawing and the history of art and western culture at Riverdal Country School in NYC while summering and painting on Cape Cod. She now lives in Brewster, MA.
