(UCONN 2004-2006) (6-9, Baltimore, MD) While at UConn, averaged 13.6 points and 5.9 rebounds, scoring 870 career points... Named the Big East Rookie of the Year during the 2004-05 season... In 2005-06, named to the First Team All-American Team, First Team All-Big East Team, and was one of four finalists for the Naismith National Player of the Year Award... Taken with the 8th pick in the NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets and then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies... Since then, Rudy also has played for Toronto and Sacramento, scoring more than 13,000 career NBA points... In 2010, Gay helped Team USA win its first FIBA World Championship gold medal since 1994... Also a member of the National Team in 2014 that earned the FIBA Basketball World Cup Gold Medal.
