Dale draws on more than 25 years of decorative painting experience to create depth and realism in her pastel work. Pastels allow an immediacy of interpretation and excitement of drawing in color. Working with the luminous, soft pigment of a pastel stick has helped Dale to achieve a more open, loose, painterly style in her work. Wade is primarily self-taught in this medium although she participates in many workshops to further her knowledge of varying styles and new techniques. Dale is an award winning and exhibiting member at the Creative Arts Center, Cape Cod Art Association, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art. She is an exhibiting member at Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Her work has been juried into many prominent New England shows. Dale is a past president of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. See more of her work at www.daleMwade.com
