Charles Schultz is the author of the iconic American comic strip Peanuts. Schultz is also responsible for creating the popular character Snoopy, a key member of the Peanuts family. Schultz drew inspiration from his experiences in order to create the strip Peanuts and Snoopy was no exception. In many family photos with Schultz he actually has a dog that resembled Snoopy. Although Schultz’s dog was a pointer not a beagle, (as Snoopy was in the comic) there is still a clear resemblance.
