The Lladro company was founded by three brothers in 1953. They first began production in a small workshop in a village near Valencia, Spain. Inspired by the Mannerist style, their hard paste figurines became quite popular.
A unique Lladro look arose, characterized by exquisite elongated forms, and an unmistakable glaze, the ingredients of which are a company secret.
Lladro figurines of today maintain the same exquisite quality, and they are enthusiastically collected around the world.
